Dual Illuminated Channel Letters
Dual Lit Channel Letters. The sign industry is no stranger to advancements in technology. In a world of constant “one-upsmanship” when trying to make a branding impact, the Dual Lit Channel Letter is the latest design to come along. Its main body is comprised of a clear 1/4″ polycarbonate back and .040 aluminum returns (sides), the insides of which are painted white to maximize the effect of the LED lighting to be installed within. Additionally, the exterior is painted to the color specified at the time of the order. The face of the Dual Illuminated Channel Letter is made of 3/16″ acrylic with a 1″ trim cap retainer which is assembled to the main body mechanically with matching screws. Print can be added to the face to achieve any colors or gradients not available in a standard acrylic. Once complete, these can be remote installed onto a wall with Aluminum Standoffs, typically 2″, placed between the back of each letter and the wall. Once lighted, the back glow works to accents the front illumination, giving the sign a “floating” look. Although this design requires remote installation, we can pair these letters with an oversized raceway which serves to house the electrical components and facilitate installation onto an otherwise unavailable location. The end result is an eye-catching sign that is bright, legible and different from the others on the landscape.
Insist on UL Listed Signs
UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is an American worldwide safety consulting and certification company headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois. UL was established in 1894 and has participated in the safety analysis of many of the last century’s new technologies, most notably the public adoption of electricity and the drafting of safety standards for electrical devices and components.
UL provides safety-related certification, validation, testing, inspection, auditing, advising and training services to a wide range of clients, including sign manufacturers. Their rigorous standards and thorough testing methods ensure that any item bearing a UL label is safe for its intended use. We design each of our products to exceed the standards set forth by UL so that installation personnel and the general public will always be protected from improper or faulty goods.
